3M Construction Joint System products include fire barrier sealants and sprays that meet the movement needs of head-of-wall, wall-to-wall and perimeter joints. These products undergo stringent building movement testing prior to firestop testing.
They are designed to accommodate various movements induced by thermal differentials, seismicity and wind loads. When properly installed, they provide 3–4-hour protection against the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gas. 3M also has a variety of firestopping products that can be used in static joint systems.
